Caves in Florens are in different areas on the River Map. Access prices and upgrades remain the same, with exception of the Crash Site Cave, which does not exist on the River Map.
River Map Cave Locations[]
For the sake of convenience and reference purposes, caves are referred to across this wiki with the below placeholder names. The "C#" after a name refers to its location on the River Map.
Dungeon Cave (C0)[]
The Dungeon Cave (or Dungeon Entrance Cave), is located southwest of the Player Home Region. Inside the player can find the entrance to the Dungeon, as well as the following:
- Guildmaster Hash, at the back of the cave
- 3 Training Dummies
- A special chest linked to other chests in Dungeon levels
- A usable Campfire Grill
- A few Ferns
Access to the Dungeon Cave is available starting from Spring 1, Day 2. There is no fee to unblock it.
Town Mine (C1)[]
The Town Mine is located on the furthest island southwest of the Town of Florens region, and is one of the first caves that the player can enter to collect resources.
Inside the cave the player can find:
There is no cost to make this cave accessible.
Fern Cave (C2)[]
The Fern Cave is located on the same island as the Town Mine, but is closed off until the player pays for the entrance to be cleared.
Inside the cave the player can find:
Access to the Town Cave requires the player to pay 2,000 (Remove Rocks quest).
Duck Pond Cave (C3)[]
The Duck Pond Cave is located on Duck Island to the east of the Player Home region, but is closed off until the player pays for the entrance to be cleared.
Inside the cave the player can find:
Access to the Duck Pond Cave requires the player to pay 1,500 (Remove Rocks quest).
Town Cave (C4)[]
The Town Cave is located on the eastern shore of the Town of Florens Region, across the lake from where the Wanderer is met for the first time. As the game progresses, John Stone and Steven can be found standing outside.
Inside the cave the player can find:
The Town Cave is open and available from the start of a new game.
Bear Cave (C5)[]
The Bear Cave is located in the western part of the Forest Region, but is closed off until the player pays for the entrance to be cleared.
Inside the cave the player can find:
- 3 Brown Bears
- 6 Dung Beetles
- 1 chest along the right wall
- Geodes
- Coal
Access to the Bear Cave requires the player to pay 2,000 (Remove Rocks quest).
Ruins Cave (C6)[]
The Ruins Cave is located in the north-western part of Ruins Area, but is closed off to the player until the player helps the Wanderer.
Inside the cave the player can find:
Access to the Ruins Cave requires the player to complete the Demands! quest and wait three days.
Waterfall Caves (C7)[]
The Waterfall Caves are located in the southern part of the Waterfall Region. There are 2 caves:
Top of the Waterfall[]
The small cave at the top of the waterfall contains a single chest, and is accessible from the beginning of the game.
Inside the Passage[]
A much larger cave is found inside the Waterfall Passage tunnel. The Passage is not accessible to the player until after the Earthquake. The cave itself is not accessible until the Fast Travel Mine Cart is established.
Inside the cave the player can find:
- Geodes
- Coal
- 3 Crystal Geode nodes on the top level
Rights to the cave can be purchased in the Town Hall for 60,000.
Crystal Geode Cave (C8)[]
The Crystal Geode Cave is located on the southeastern side of the Ferret Island, but is closed off until after the Earthquake event. The player then must pay for the entrance to be cleared.
Inside the cave the player can find:
- Geodes
- Crystal Geodes
- Occasionally Plants will spawn inside the cave.
Access to the Crystal Geode Cave requires the player to pay 10,000 (Remove Rocks quest).
